Long silk skirt by Hermès, named fantaisie design by Henri d'Origny Circa 1998

About the Item

Circa 1998 France  Romantic long skirt in printed silk by Hermès dating from the late 1990s. A variation of a Hermès scarf entitled Fantaisie, based on the famous Henri d'Origny design reissued in 1997. Skirt with large flared panels cut on the bias, allowing the skirt to flow beautifully, mounted on a waist belt with a zip at the back. Baroque architectural design with large wheels and illuminations in shades of yellow-gold, white, ochre and sepia on a black background. Printed fluid silk twill retaining its original finish, as well as the Hermès Paris brand and the name Fantaisie on a bias binding at the bottom of the skirt. Black taffeta underskirt with white label with black lettering indicating Hermès Paris, Made in France, size 44. No visible wear or dirt. Little or no wear. Good overall condition. Reference in the book Carré d'Art d'Hermès by Geneviève Fontan at ARFON 2017 on page 107. Size: Equivalent to size 40 France. Waist 74 cm, hips 100 cm, height 110 cm, bottom of skirt 420 cm.
